is a shaped street deck with a kick in the nose and tail. The familiar deck makes this a great cross over board for anybody who has a baground in park or street skating, and has taken an interest in Surfstyle. Lean hard onto youyr toes or heels, drop a hand onto the ground, and let the LEO wrap a tigh circle around you.
I love this rail adapter so much!! Really recommend adding it to any surf skate. I have this on the back of my YOW currently and it makes a huge difference. People will be impressed by how much the board can bend and ask about it, I recommend everyone the Rail Adapter. It is a big upgrade to any surf skate. Plus you can tighten them if it is too much, or if you're feeling risky loosen them all you'd like. I personally like to make it very loose so I have a lot of possible bend. Carver boards can sometimes be a little stiff, so add this piece to the back and boom, the board become 10x more smooth and has more pump.
I like cant even with this, I thought it was gonna be fun not life changing. Litterally everytime I step onto my normal boards the bushings just feel so tight and hard, I normally rock soft and loose bushings. My only problem is that you don't really go fast and there's nothing I love more than carving at speed.
Amazing product. I'm wanting to order 3 more. When are they going back in stock? Thanks!
Great parts made the adapter like new. Use the waterborne with all my electric and push boards. Won’t ride without it!!
I'm land-locked, 59 years old and miss surfing. I have a dozen hours of skateboarding experience from 40 years ago. I buy the Waterborne adapter and after an easy installation on my old dinghy cruiser, I'm starting to feel it come back. After an hour muscle memory from surfing comes back and I can easily carve my turns. After a week I'm combining pump and carve and loving it. This adapter is a gift.
Got these togehter with a set of trucks and bearings but I ended up mounting them on my old setup (the new trucks were a bit too tall for my taste...).
What a step up! The rubber is grippy and feels super secure when pumping hard but ready to let it go when you are looking for a smooth slide.
Tested on differnet types of asphalt and cement at the skatepark, never disappointed.
Quality, very versatile wheels!
I just received the board. Tommy from the waterborne team was super helpful in letting me get the board early if I was willing to get a slightly used model.
I was a bit worried at first that the height would be problematic, but it didn’t really matter. This pumps so well, you never really need to push with your foot.
The black bamboo deck with the blue accent (wheels and trucks) looks gorgeous.
Every parts seem high quality, trucks bearings, wheels.
The longer wheelbase (than a typical yow or carver) doesn’t actually feel longer, as with the back rail adapter it turns very sharp.
I did try a friend’s carver and a yow, for some reason I prefer waterborne’s system. It just « feels » more natural in the way it moves.
Give this complete a shot! You won’t regret it!
After installing the parts on my home built eskate- longboard, my board is now ALIVE! This made my board into a different animal and the carving king! I was skeptical because I own a carver board (non e - powered) and I LOVE that thing. After installing the Waterborne system, I was back in carving heaven again. It does work!
I started with one adapter and now have 4 custom setups with the adapters. They range broadly like a sleek 31-inch Loaded Coyote, an Earthwing Mini Glider,
a 36-inch Landyachtz Super Chief Pintail and 46-inch Sector 9 pintail. They all offer something unique and have situations for which any one could be the favorable choice, even though one is my favorite ride and one is dedicated to wet pavement from rain.
Very satisfied with the Waterborne adapters. I wouldn't have bought 4 otherwise. For those who have no choice but to ride on wet pavement, Eastside rain wheels work great and don't slip much unless you want them to. Another tip is that you may want to clean the adapter and add fresh grease to the bearings more often is use ride a dedicated board on the wet road.
Got my Surf & Rail Adapter high perforamance pack, fixed it on to my S9 longboard with paris V3/4president wheel - it was magical.
Smooth and very intense/tight carve with no wheel bite. So smooth and agile that no kicks required, just kept surfing on the curb with slight pumps! Absolutely in love with them.
Customer service by Tommy was tip top, missed the promo for waterborne Tee after my combo purchase but Tommy readily obliged, couldn't be any more thankful.
Now I'm happily surfing the neighbourhood in my white Waterborne Tee and gladly helping to promote the surf adapters! Definitely looking forward to more innovation/new products by your team!
I put it on a common budget e-skate. Result: amazing streetsurf with remote control. 100% worth the price.
I'm a beginner to skating & surfing - bought the scorpio after getting some surf lessons back in the summer and enjoying the waves I managed to catch.
Progress was pretty rapid despite a slow and uncertain start. After a few days' practice I'm able to pump up mild gradients and do some full loops without pushing in my local skatepark.
The board is a lot more capable than me, it can do very tight turns and it feels more stable than I thought it would when pumping or drifting down a gradient. It's mechanically smooth with no squeaks. The big wheels roll over small debris easily without stalling.
Overall really happy so far, looking forward to getting more confident.
Installed on my cruiser, detailed and easy to follow instructions.
The product is really fun and I feel like my board got upgraded to the next level! Cruising, carving and pumping is so fun now
I put these adapters on my big cruiser board - a Krooked deck around 10.5" wide and 34" long with 10" wide Independent trucks. Running 70mm/70a wheels right now but waiting on 64mm/77a wheels to show up in the mail.
Learning to pump this setup has drastically helped my actual surfing. Like, it's a revelation. I'm able to start pumping immediately after popping up and make sections I never would have made just waiting for the wave to push me down the line. Running highlines, going faster, and throwing much more spray than ever before in the water. Best of all, no more "pumping" the nose straight up and down to zero effect! It's all in the hips - side to side baby!
At the skatepark, I still kind of feel like the weird old guy among all the kids riding actual skateboards but that's going away as I get more comfortable with speed, maintaining speed, bigger turns, and slides.
It's so addictively fun I'm budgeting skate time during my week.
Already thinking about setting up a second board a little differently with Waterborne Adapters as a dedicated skatepark whip and keeping this first board for the street.
The adapters are very well made, impressive, really, and they totally transform your board. SO WORTH IT if you are considering a surfskate and already have a board and some trucks to use. Super psyched on this purchase. Totally recommend giving it a go if you're curious.
Installed on my pintail longboard easily. Really enjoying it so far!
