CHUB X WATERBORNE SURF SKATE

$255.00

We crafted the smoothest cruiser on the market with the perfect combination of top quality components. Carving down the street barefoot while rolling over rocks and cracks gets you to your destination with ease, if you have a destination that is.

The FIN System™ is a revolutionary Patented new upgrade for the Surf Adapter that allows riders to alter the pivot angle of their Surf Adapter. This Kit can be added to any existing Skateboard setup.

The FINs can be added in 2 configurations, in addition to a standard 150° Surf Adapter configuration. One configuration is Super Carve 145° and the other is Mega Pump 155°. Super Carve gives you a more responsive turning experience, and lets you carve very tight maneuvers in tight spaces. Mega Pump is a lighter feeling and allows you to efficiently drive the board with small pumps over long distances.

The Surf Adapter in the front gives the board its carving abilities, and the Rail Adapter on the rear truck puts the board on rail as you glide through tremendous carves.

Specs: 10.5" wide, 33"  long, 19.5" axle to axle wheel base deck made of Canadian maple. 62MM soft (78A) wheels, 177MM Ace TKP Trucks , 1/2" rubber risers and a marine grade foam deck pad make this one of the sickest cruisers around.

How can this have a 19.5” wheelbase?

This is a beautiful deck but I think the wheelbase is measured axel to axel as opposed to how it’s supposed to be measured- in between the inner bolt holes. Basing my calculations on the wheelbase measured to the inner bolt holes and new school bolt patterns it’s 32.5” long minus the 19.5” wheelbase which leaves us at 13”, minus 4.5” (2x 2.25 for space the trucks take up) now we’re left with 8.5” and that nose as pictured seems to be well over 6”, so where’s the tail?
Is this a true 19.5” wheelbase? I don’t think it is.

Great cruiser, nice and wide for my big feet, nimble for its width....the wheels are awesome, they slide real nice and have plenty of grip at the same time.....the foam grip is great for barefoot riding..... 4 stars because for me it's wheelbase isnt to my taste....I would actually use this for tight turns and short distance town skating....not sure I would want to do any significant distance on it 👀

The FIN System™ is a revolutionary Patented new upgrade for the Surf Adapter that allows riders to alter the pivot angle of their Surf Adapter. This kit can be added to any existing skateboard setup!

The FINs can be added in 2 configurations, in addition to a Standard Surf Adapter configuration. One configuration is Mega Pump and the other is Super Carve.

THREE Distinct riding modes

Each FIN SETTING will be characterized by different pivot angle and ride height. The FIN System has set a new standard for customization of a Surfskate, by allowing for the adjustment of the angle of the primary pivot itself. This angle is the biggest factor in determining how a Surf truck will feel.

FIN System

Set your FINs to Super Carve for an increased responsiveness and high performance. Super Carve is a very lively setting that emphasizes how tightly the Surf Adapter can turn within a space, and carve it to pieces!

Remove your FINs to utilize the Standard Surf Adapter Geometry. This geometry was something that we created with the goal of achieving the most universal surf style performane for riders across the world. It's still as fun as ever to ride the Standard setting!

Set your FINs to Mega Pump for a dialed back high performance cruising feel. The Surf Adapter won't lean as deeply into turns, and the flatter deck angle allows you to gently pump this board up to high speeds with minimal exertion, and maximal forward propultion. It can still carve with a distinctly Waterborne fluidity.

What are FINs?

FINs snap into the Surf Adapter's truck holding Pivot arm. They effectively change the angle that the arm rotates on, and in turn change the way that the wheels move as you press on your rails. This is what gives you a totally new feeling.

DESIGN INSIGHT

The Surf Adapter is an extremely robust design that has been mounted onto everything from 12 inch skateboards to 12 foot long skateboards! It has been paired with every truck under the sun, and riden by people on all 7 continets. We believe that the Surf Adapter's design language, aids in it's mission for universal appeal. This rebust design lan guage is why the FIN System works. Had we taken a more common approach, had we coppied an existign design, or had we put any less consideration, we would not have been able to add these clever little wedges to the Surf Adaper without significant further modification. It is only becuase we found the best solution, the bushing, that we can change the pivot angle and still have the same functionality and resilience.

Customize your Surfskate

HOW BUSHINGS AFFECT YOUR PERFORMNCE

You can further customize the feel of your Surfskate by swapping the bushings in your Surf Adapter and Rail Adapter. Bushings can make a board feel more stable for a biginner, or fine tune the performance of a pro setup.

HOW TRUCKS AFFECT YOUR PERFORMNCE

You can further customize the feel of your Surfskate by choosing between which trucks (TKP or RKP) are mounted to your Surf Adapters.
