Replacement Surf Adapter Bushing

$5.99

With proper care and maintenance your bushings should last for years. Keep out of extreme heat or cold for maximum longevity.

If you need to replace for any reason this bushing will make your Surf Adapter ride good as new. Duro is a measure of hardness, the harder the bushing the more resistance it will give you. Consider that lighter riders will likely prefer softer bushings and heavier riders will prefer harder bushings.

90a is the softest bushing. Best for skilled riders or youth who enjoy a very loose turn radius.

92.5a is quite soft. Suitable for people who love an extremely loose feeling, or youth riders.

95a is standard. It's a happy medium and leans toward the looser side at low speeds. Allowing for high performance maneuverability.

97.5a is a firmer bushing for riders looking for extra low speed stability.

100a is a very hard bushing. It will stiffen up the Surf Adapter significantly at all speeds. Making it more of a cruiser.

The 97.5a compared to the standard stock bushing difference is A LOT, considering I weigh 215lbs, it does not put carving in to an awkward state. I feel comfortable riding it, though if I had to really nitpick a very tiny concern, it would be that riptide should have released and perfected a 100a bushing, 97.5a somehow (for me) is still a little bit soft than I anticipated. Anyways, you have it all here, great product, great brands, and also great people behind Waterborne for the amazing service!

Customize your Surfskate

HOW BUSHINGS AFFECT YOUR PERFORMNCE

You can further customize the feel of your Surfskate by swapping the bushings in your Surf Adapter and Rail Adapter. Bushings can make a board feel more stable for a biginner, or fine tune the performance of a pro setup.

HOW TRUCKS AFFECT YOUR PERFORMNCE

You can further customize the feel of your Surfskate by choosing between which trucks (TKP or RKP) are mounted to your Surf Adapters.

Style, style, and More style

The Surf Adapter™ gives your board a fluid maneuverability that allows you effortless flow from heel to toe rail to rail. You can link up turns into one endless wave. The system is very intuitive to learn and your own skating style, as well as the characteristics of your own board will be enhanced.

Waterborne vs. the Competition

When it comes to dual pivot surf trucks there are four major systems. Carver C7, YOW Meraki, Smoothstar Thruster and Waterborne Surf Adapter. Waterborne's Surf Adapter is the newest system and the only one that uses a high rebound urethane bushing, just like a skate truck. the Surf Adapter does not rely on a heavy metal mechanical spring and linkages. As a result turns feel fluid and limitless. Furthermore steel springs are susceptible to rust. They need to be maintained and replaced frequently, and there are dozens more moving parts.

Lifetime Guarantee

The Surf Adapter and Rail Adapter have been very well engineered and are guaranteed for the life fo the product. We stress test the Surf and Rail to 1,500 lbs (680Kg) to ensure that they will not break under any circumstance. Each part is made from aircraft grade aluminum for its toughness and lightness, then heat cycled yo ensure stresses are released from within the alloy.

What board is right?

Generally speaking you are going to have the most fun on a board that you are already comfortable with! A board that feels good under your feet is going to feel familiar, yet enhanced with the ability to carve like a surfboard, enter and recover from power slides very naturally, and pump to generate speed. Our riders have tried just about every single setup imaginable, many of which have documented their experiences on specific boards in our review catalogue.
